Ranch Dressing...Dressed Up
All my girls adore ranch dressing...it's their favorite (along with bleu cheese). So, anytime I get to do a variation is always a hit!!
I always use the original packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix. It doesn't matter which one...the Buttermilk Recipe or Original Recipe. Usually I use the Original because it calls for a cup of mayo and a cup of milk...which I have.
For Smoky Ranch, I add 1tsp of smoked paprika to the mixture. For Spicy Ranch, I use 1/2 package of taco seasoning. Our favorite is by Taco Bell, and ChiChi's has a good one too. It isn't really spicy...so if you want that kick add a little chile piquen chopped fine and it will sizzle then!
What's great is that either is good for dipping. The smoky ranch is good with fried pickles, fried green beans, fried broccoli. And, when I have a salad for a barbeque I always use that dressing as it fits in nicely. The spicy ranch is great on taco salad!
