Salsa

With my family I can't make spicy salsa. This recipe is mild but if you want it spicier, chile piquen will suffice.  Garlic lovers might want to add more garlic...up to you, but that is what makes this recipe so great.

 Rustic Roasted Tomato Salsa

Ingredients:
1 10 3/4 oz can whole tomatoes
1 can of Rotel type tomatoes (HEB has a good one and there are a couple of other brands out there)
4-5 cloves fresh garlic
1T. garlic powder
1 can mild jalapenos or green chiles (I go to the ethnic aisle in the grocery store for this)
1/2 c chopped cilantro (optional)
1/2 c chopped onions
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp fresh ground pepper
1 1/2 tsp McCormacks Mediterranean Sea Salt

Directions:
Blend all ingredients in a blender.  Do not do too much as it will liquefy too much.  Just use the pulse option. Let the salsa sit overnight so the flavors can come together.
