Chocolate Cream Cheese Pie

This is another one of my mother's recipes.  If you can find the Keebler's Chocolate Graham Cracker all means use that and omit the first two ingredients!!

 Skinny Chocolate Cream Cheese Pie. 192 Calories/1 Slice

1 ½ c finely crushed chocolate wafers
1/3 c butter, melted
1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
¼ c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 (6oz) pkg milk chocolate morsels, melted
2 egg whites (at room temperature)
¼ c sugar (yes…again)
1 c Cool Whip (room temperature)
¾ c chopped pecans

Combine the crushed wafers and butter, stirring well.  Press the mixture into a 9 inch pie pan.  Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes.  Cool completely.

Combine the cream cheese, ¼ c sugar, and vanilla.  Beat until smooth.  Stir in the melted chocolate.

Beat the egg whites until foamy.  Gradually add ¼ c sugar and vanilla, beating until stiff peaks form.  Fold into the chocolate mixture.  Gently fold 1 cup of Cool Whip and pecans into the chocolate mixture.  Pour into the crust.  Freeze for at 3 hours before serving.
