Quick and Easy Corn on the Cob
Mom discovered this and now during fresh corn on the cob season we have it almost every night. Yesterday I bought 20 ears for $1. Good thing my family likes corn on the cob!!
Chop approximately 1 inch off the end of the stalk. Place the whole stalk into the microwave. Do not remove the silk or the husk!! For each ear of corn, microwave on high for 4 minutes. We usually cook two ears at a time. When the timer goes off, place on a plate and let cool slightly. The husk and silk will practically fall off.
On the ends, place corn holders. On a small plate, place a stick of butter. Rub the hot corn lengthwise over the butter to thoroughly coat. Sprinkle your favorite on top...salt, lemon pepper, garlic pepper, cayenne pepper, Parmesan cheese. Serve hot and enjoy!!
